These sound great in my 2019 Nissan Frontier. The only issue we ran into with the install was unless your okay with splicing you need to purchase the wire harness adapter and the stock housing bracket does not work and you have to buy a different one.
These are solid speakers for the price, but one notable thing is that they have quite low sensitivity, that means that it takes more power to drive them compared to what you may expect from your stock speakers or other lower end aftermarket speakers, both of which usually aim for higher sensitivity to make use of head unit power.
When I initially powered them straight off my head unit that is rated 22x4 RMS, I ran into the same things that others did, where it sounded kinda muffled, not that strong of bass, and the factory pair in the back noticeably overpowered them. I also noticed that they physically didn't produce much excursion.
However, once I added a small 4-channel amp and powered these off the front channels of the now 60x4 RMS amp, these came WAY more alive. Bass is surprisingly good and clear highs even when turned up. They work very well when amplified for cheap speakers, but on the flip side might be underwhelming as straight OEM replacement.
