Not comfortable for the size.

Size was on the smaller side for the sizing and just barely fit.
There is this pressure point on one shoe pressing from the top making it really uncomfortable to wear. Never experienced that before. Like a needle or something pressing down unto the top of your feet. Can't find what the heck it is in the shoe by hand but using it was not fun.
Using it for a while and it's getting into shape to be not as problematic but damn these were the worst shoes I've ever worn for comfort thus far.
Looks & quality looks to be on-point but comfort certainly didn't hit well. Should have gone one size larger on these I reckon.

Too agricultural for me

I first bought Ecco shoes well over 15 years ago ... I have one pair that is at least that old and was my favourite until it started to fall apart. I hoped that this pair would be a good replacement, but two things made me change my mind:
- They come up large, but my big toes still pushed through the socks after an hour or so. This is because the 'roof' of the shoe - the bit at the top within the stitched area - is too low and rubs against the toe. The width and length, on the other hand, are generous - perfect if you wear thicker socks or two pairs, but too big if you just want to wear standard socks.
- The soles are hard. I could hear them on the pavement. Not as loud as studs, but that sort of noise. The 'walking experience' on pavement was too firm. For 'off road' use you would certainly get good grip.

I returned these for the above issues. On the positive side, the build quality was up to Ecco standard (excellent) and in all other respects it's a fine pair of shoes, with a natural 'rolling' action as you walk that's really good. I ended up buying Ecco Rugged Track in the same size. They come out a little smaller around the foot, but the 'height' fit (over the toes) is better than it is with these, especially after I replaced the Ecco insoles with Granger G30 insoles.

Not what they used to be ….

I bought these shoes a little over a year ago now and to begin with they were great… once i started using them around Christmas time they took no time at all to get used to and were nice and comfortable. I had these shoes a few times in the past and was always happy with them . These shoes now though are either not the same quality as the original shoes i previously owned or I got a really bad version . Ecco always made nice shoes - i have used them for years and never had a problem. This pair is starting to show signs of breaking down now after only 14-15 months of use. I dont wear them every day either so it should not be that scenario either. My previous pair lasted me years - went through a few pairs of laces even before i had to retire them. These shoes now wont last me to the 2 year purchase anniversary i am afraid. Not what you expect from Ecco and now what you expect for this price either so beware

UPDATE: I contacted Amazon re support and they sent me off to Ecco support . I contacted them and they said that unless they were purchased through the Ecco online store they could not offer support so back to Amazon. Amazon wont offer anything as it is past 6 months - basically dont buy these off Amazon as you might only get 12-18 months and it aint worth it . If you really want the shoes go direct to Amazon

Fantastic shoes, supreme comfort

I remember getting some Ecco shoes in my local TK Maxx clearance section. I wasn't initially a fan of their design but in no time I came to realise what fantastic shoes Ecco make and from that point forward I have bought their shoes, whenever I see them on sale. They are expensive for good reason. I took the plunge and treated myself to these as I recently moved to the country and wanted some walking shoes.
Construction is amazing, comfort.... Wow, for me it was like they were designed for my foot! Ecco are amazing and these shoes live up to their reputation. Really sturdy, amazing support. Give your feet a treat! Highly recommended.

Really great shoe with regards to build quality. Can see why they receive great reviews. There was only one review that mentioned the toe box being a little low which unfortunately also effects me after a while. I intend taking them to a cobbler for stretching the toe box / instep ‘up’ a little as my home stretcher only stretches the width and length. Once done I’m confident they’ll be amazing. Colour is not the ‘reddy brown’ as shown, just brown but not a problem.

Disappointed with the seller and the shoes design

Extremely disappointing design by Ecco. Hard ridge on the heel support became apparent after few minutes of walking.
Contacted seller and asked for refund but was advised that they did not find any fault in the product and refused to refund as the shoes were worn. Mind, decided to return after first short walk. No signs of damage or ‘wear and tear’ . Worst still, the seller asked me to pay extra £5 for postage to send the shoes back to me when refused to refund.
I am very disappointed with this extremely uncomfortable Ecco shoes after having worn various Ecco products for 20 years.
