Kundrecensioner

My gripe in the past was with them releasing stuff to market that was not ready, leaving customers relying on updates to get the functionality. This Gen 6 experience has been no different because of the premature release of OS3 which has rendered much of the functionality useless.
If you watch video reviews you'll see tributes to the smoothness of the new UI. On my watch it was jerky and leggy and could only be marginally improved by deactivating transitions in developer options.
Any owner of this brand will be expert at deactivating functions to eek out battery life and the inclusion of editable battery profiles is a great aid. Except, the watch forgets the adjustments and you have to manually change everything back every day to overcome this problem.
And even when you do manage to turn almost everything off the resulting battery performance is shameful in this day and age. As soon as you interact with anything those percentage points just start to fall away. Thus far the best endurance I've managed is 9 hours and that's with hardly any interaction and everything except bluetooth switched off.
The manufacturer has made great improvements in their own software and have even produced a phone client to replace the awful Android Wear app. The Wellness function is nicely packaged - it's just a shame that it's unreliable. For example my watch does not wish to read my heart rate, despite being set to continuously monitor this bio sign. As you can see from the picture attached, according to my watch I have no heartbeat.
The watch is advertised as having Alexa but not until I upgraded to OS3. As a result I lost Google Assistant and Alexa is far less functional. Another example of stepping backwards.
I remember with my Gen 5 being told by the manufacturer that fixes for broken functions were 'on the way'. Some never came, for example OK Google was never fixed. I am, therefore, unable to stick with my watch and wait for the retrospective refinements which, in fact, merely get me somewhere near the functionality that was advertised.
And even then the biggest problem, the battery, will not be improved until there is a major hardware development which, of course, means buying something new some time in the future.

Now I know these things eat up power, so I don't expect days of life, but as a bare minimum I would expect something I could use during the day and then charge each night a bit like I do my phone. If you put this in time only mode and switch off all functionality and don't check the time much
you may be lucky to eek out 10 to 12 hours. But then you may as well buy a standard watch.
Whatever you do, don't expect a watch you can interact with and check notifications or you'll be recharging it four to five times a day. Which pretty much renders its main function as wearable tech pretty useless.

Easy to set up
Great data on the app
Great variety of screen images
can answer calls
can see photos/images in text messages
control your music (great for working out)
Battery life is great
Can use it for apple pay
Whats not to like about it.
Highly recommend
