If you are wanting a thick and soft cotton then be prepared to pay more. Fruit of the Loom used always to be really dependable. Clearly the cheaper versions are just that: - cheaper, thinner and not at all nice to feel. I'd have happily paid more for a good, heavy thick and soft cotton had they been available. I put these in a really hot wash with fabric condition in the hope they would thicken up and feel better. They didn't. On the plus side they are well made and didn't shrink in that hot wash or lose colour. Pity about the rest.
I bought these in an XL as I wanted oversized and they were huge like a tent, so I bought in L and they were far smaller, at least 2 sizes down. The material wasn't as good as the XL and they have shrunk in the wash. Much thinner cotton as well. They are now probably too small to wear, which wouldn't have happened had they been the same material as the original XL batch.
If you’re buying these T shirts just to wear as plain T shirts then they’re perfectly fine comfy T shirts.
However, if you’re buying them because you think the poly/cotton mix might make them suitable for sublimation printing onto then the bad news is they’re not; the print looks OK straight out of the heat press, but after the first wash most of the print has washed away.
Nice fitting simple white T-shirts. The fabric has a heavy weight to it, albeit the weave is quite large, so it appears slightly transparent. While a T-shirt from H&M or Cos feels thinner, it’s a denser material. I like the fit, but the size Large has shrunk on a 30 degree wash to a Small. I’ve re bought size XL, and this was huge on me unwashed, but once washed a couple of times it fits like a L. Hoping it doesn’t shrink any further.
