I took away 1 star for the following reasons: because the bag is nice and big, it's easy for my wallet to fall to the bottom and be hard to find. One or two internal slots or pockets would make this bag even more awesome. And also, the selection of available colors and patterns is not really very fashion-forward. But if you are willing to overlook these minor issues, the bag is really really good. Comparable levels of functionality in a "fancier" brand would run $100 or more. (I am looking at you, Lululemon.) And honestly, I have not really found this level of excellence in any other bag, fancy or plain.

I purchased this because as we've been ramping up our public therapy modules for our son, who has a laundry list of conditions, and struggles profoundly with public places for a host of reasons (the sounds, the smells, the people, the overwhelming amount of visual data), and we've been working more with walking through stores in a functional manner. Which has looked like a lot of me chasing after him when he tries to flee the store, me deadlifting him off the ground, me keeping him from pushing other people's carts away from him and into them when he feels like they're getting to close to him, me keeping him from trying to chew on the merchandise, that sort of thing. We're getting better and better at that, but it was getting more and more of a problem to have a traditional purse. My daughter was being the best sport about it she could, but she said there was too much crud in my purse, it weighed a ton, and it was stressing her out having to try and grab it for me when I had to drop it to help keep our little man or the people around him safe.
So my hubby actually found this for me, because he totally likes to window shop on Amazon, and I wasn't finding anything I liked on my own, and I didn't want to take away too much time from doing therapies with our little man to keep hunting. He knows me well. I love the color, and the zebra print part is actually an iridescentish ombre print. I love that! I love that there is a drink pouch, because sometimes we carry a water bottle. It's also good for storing reinforcers or my son's chewelry item in it for easy access. I love the number of pouches in this (there's a pouch in the side I put my tablet and phone in, there's the main compartment that I carry books, toys, cleaning supplies, etc in just in case, there's a little pouch on the side of the strap I put my lip gloss in, and the front smaller pouch is great for holding wallets, etc. and it has little sleeves for things like hand sanitizer, pens, etc). And I love that it slings diagonal across the chest and back. I'm also a big fan of the multiple points to clip things onto...I carry my keeys on a more industrial size snap hook so they don't get lost in all of the chasing down I have to do, and it's nice to have the access points be so easy to get to and to get it off of. I was always getting my hook caught on the chains of my old purse.
So far, it's been working out great. There are straps for a yoga mat, but to be honest, I don't have the ability to work out at a gym, so all of my stuff is done at home and I don't use it for that, so I can't speak as to how well those would work. But I've been using this for a few weeks now I want to say and it's holding up well, but I do want to point out that the shoulder strap can loosen up easier. I don't think that's a huge problem, I just cinch it back up. But just an FYI. Honestly, this thing is a lifesaver when it comes to public outings with my son, and I totally love it!

John.
