The throttle is super tight, no matter how loose you try to adjust it. For me, the right thumbstick gets stuck in the forward position. There's a switch on the throttle that can be slid into one of two positions, but neither seems to do anything or press any button. There's a Mode switch that doesn't seem to do anything, and isn't explained anywhere. It has two USB cables, and if you don't plug them into two different USB plugs, i.e. not both in one USB Hub, even one with external power, random buttons will be pressing themselves.

Using the twist on the stick while simultaneously trying to use the thumbstick is difficult.

BUT! If you can live with all these flaws, it's a good HOTAS. I'm just not sure its worth what it costs. On the other hand, there really aren't any alternatives, unless you're ready to pay through the nose for a Warthog (which doesn't even have twist) or even more for a Virpil or other high end Hotas.

I had an X52 since 12-13 years, it started to show it's age so was time to look for something better. X56 got mixed reviews, half was happy and half thought it was crap but I decided to anyway try it as it's in a good price range.

The only joy you will get from this is the joy when you buy something different and abandon it!

The throttle is good, plenty of buttons, etc.
The joystick is really bad, you need to set deadzones the size of Atlantic ocean in order for it to not have it drift somewhere (you never know if it will drift up/down or right/left). It's really inprecise arund the center, so you can move it several cm's before something actually happens.

So to conclude, buy something cheaper or step up and buy something better, this will not be enjoyable.

Si te interesa, lee esta opinión hasta el final por que, si yo hubiera leído alguna así,me hubiera replanteado muchas cosas al respecto. Diré lo bueno y lo malo, pero no solo me quedaré en ello.

Me sabe mal escribir esto, pero absolutamente todos los hotas del mercado llevan años sin mejorar. Este modelo sin ir más lejos data de 2011 ¡9 años y no han lanzado nada mejor! Es ridículo. Pero es que en Thrustmaster pasa lo mismo, el hotas más barato de esa marca data del 2008,¡Y lo siguen vendiendo!

Hoy día o te compras un Virpil, o no tienes un joystick/palanca/hotas/hosas decente. Pero claro, no todo el mundo se va a gastar 500 pavos en un producto de este tipo,que persé es de nicho, y que aunque sea de alta calidad, siguen siendo 500 pavos que no sabes si vas a tirar por la borda. Así que lo mejor es hacer una inversión muy leve, para saber si te mola el rollete este y, ya si ves que te has enganchado, pasarte a unos Virpil.

En mi caso, yo quería un hotas para aprender; y así, meterme en el mundillo de los simsimulator, y la verdad, estaba entre el Joystick Logitech de 20€, el T16000 con palanca, y este(x52Pro), por que los otros ya no eran viables, o bien por que eran injustificadamente caros y no tenían muchas más prestaciones que este x52 Pro, o bien por que personalmente para comprar un producto que ni siquiera se si me gustará no voy a pagar más de 150€ por el precio, ya suficiente me parece.

El punto por el cual, terminé devolviendo el producto, es que tras haberlo recibido, me tiré 1 mes, literal, tirándome de los pelos para poderlo configurar decentemente, ¡Y no conseguí nada! Al punto de que ya la última semana antes de devolverlo, estuve por tirar la toalla, el software es la mayor mierda que he visto desde los tiempos de Internet Explorer(El cual a su lado es una auténtica joya.). En serio, es tan sumamente vomitivo, que me repugna que un programador pueda haber picado semejante androjo, es que vamos, hasta un ñordo es más útil y bonito.

Y ya si le sumamos, que según el ordenador/placa base que tengas, puedes llegar a sufrir problemas del estilo:
· Enciendes el pc sin hotas, los conectas, ya no los reconoce hasta el reinicio completo del sistema.
· Enciendes el pc con los hotas en un puerto usb, y no los reconoce.(¿Motivo?Desconocido¡Yo que se!)
· Enciendes el pc con los hotas, en otro puerto usb, el hotas se te enciende completamente en la pantalla del Logotipo de la marca de la placa base, pero cuando carga la ventana de Windows/Linux, se apaga por completo y el S.O. no lo reconoce.
· Enciendes el pc con el hotas, en otro puerto usb diferente al resto, el S.O. reconoce el Joystick pero no la palanca.
· Enciendes el pc con el susodicho conectado en otro usb diferente a los anteriores,¡Y POR FIN LO RECONOCE!Perooo...¡Ah!¡Espera! ¡Que resulta que en juegos como Star Citizen, hay teclas que aunque pulses no te reconocerá...!¡A MENOS QUE TENGAS ABIERTA EN TODO MOMENTO LA VENTANA DE OPCIONES DEL PANEL DE CONTROL DEDICADA A LA CONFIGURACIÓN DEL HOTAS! Es decir, que para que el hotas funcione como dios manda, tienes que tener una ventana de opciones abierta en todo momento para que algunos juegos te reconozcan las pulsaciones...¡Lo nunca visto!Claramente la filosofía de Plug&Play, no va con este modelo.

Pero espera, por que la historia aún no ha terminado, ahora ponte a encontrar perfiles, o lo que es aún peor, a crearlos individualmente para cada uno de los juegos que te plantees jugar, ya que los videojuegos normalmente no suelen venir pre-configurados para los hotas, y si vienen, es muy probable que tengas que modificarlo por que vendrá mal configurado. Total, que o tienes a alguna persona que te guíe, o alguna guía de internet muy buena que te resuelva las dudas, pero si es la primera vez que quieres lidiar con esto, y sobre todo, estás solo ante la inmensidad...ufff, estás fastidiad@.

Yo, por fortuna encontré a una persona que me ayudó a configurarlo, y ¡SÍ!, he de decir que juegos como Star Citizen o Elite Dungerous, una vez los pruebas con unos hotas BIEN calibrados y configurados, es una auténtica pasada probar la experiencia, pero para llegar ahí...Asume que será una odisea.

Por lo demás, el aparato en sí, es precioso, y es una auténtica pena, que el software privativo de Logitech-Saitek sea tan zarrapastoso, por que de haber sido código abierto(Como hizo Lego con sus Mindstorm en su día), estoy seguro de que a día de hoy, ya existiría alguna solución hecha por la comunidad que realmente solventara todos los problemas de este tipo de aparatos de manera mucho más cómoda. Ya que el aparato en si, no tiene culpa real de que el ordenador no tenga unos drivers y un software bien pulidos. De echo, como aparato, permite muchísima configuración con sus más de 35 botones(Algunos sliders, pero de sobra para que un novato se meta en el mundillo), y he de reconocer que el botón con el seguro rojo, tiene un carisma que me recuerda a tantas y tantas películas clásicas que, desde luego, me hace tener un cariño especial por este modelo en concreto, ya que francamente me encanta esa pijotada así como el doble detalle de que el botón cubierto cambia su LED de Rojo a Verde, cuando el seguro se abre. y sí, es una pijotada, pero francamente me daba inmersión en las partidas cuando estaba en un combate.

La sensación que he tenido, es la de estar con un aparato que a nivel de hardware está perfecto, en lo que a calidad-precio se refiere, pero que a nivel de software se quedó atascado en Windows NT. Por eso no me ha quedado más remedio que devolverlo, los constantes errores de Drivers, las ridículas necesidades de conectarlo exclusivamente al puerto USB que le placía, o que tenga que ir cada vez que lo quiero configurarlo al "Panel de control/Impresoras y Escáneres" para acceder a la ventana de configuración y personalización, aparte de que los colores de los leds pueden tener ciertas variaciones cromáticas, haciendo que el "Ambar" que aparece como opción en la ventana de opciones del ordenador, pueda ser un naranja fuerte o un Amarillo suave en el botón físico real.

Por todo ello, no puedo aceptarlo como un producto válido, por 150€, tampoco al T16000¡Ojo!
Por 150€ entiendo que el producto debería de ser:
· Plug&Play.
· Tener un software pulido y de fácil acceso(Intuitivo vaya) que no requiera estar en segundo plano todo el rato para que el periférico funcione.
· Que los botones sean RGB, y que sean congruentes con el nombre que sale en el programa.
· Que haya más soporte por parte de la marca a esta tecnología.
· Que el aparato dure más de 2 años sin fallar.

Por lo demás, el Hotas me vino sin protecciones ni nada, directamente en su caja original, la cual venía croqueada por el transportista, y no, eso no me parece correcto, ahí la culpa es tanto de Amazon como del propio vendedor. Pero internamente estaba todo aparentemente bien, y el hotas por lo poco que lo pude usar, me funcionaba decentemente, no tiene la precisión de un Virpil, pero es que tampoco cuesta 500€, así que no nos flipemos.

Well worth the investment in my opinion

I read a lot of bad reviews about how these units seem to fail pretty quickly. I've deliberately held off posting a review about it until now, to give me plenty of time to put it through it's paces.

It's worth noting at this point that I did void the warranty within a week of unboxing it. I bought this primarily for use with flight simulators, which meant I had to get rid of two things, both of which I had researched and planned before even buying the product:

1) The centring spring on the stick;
2) The throttle detent.

Depending on what you want to use this product for, the setup out of the box may be suitable for you. For me, however, a self-centring joystick is unrealistic for flight simulators, especially when the centring spring has heavy tension and is not adjustable. So I removed it completely.

With the throttle (in my case, used primarily as the collective lever for helicopter simulation), it had a nasty detent which prevented smooth, precise input required during flight, especially hovering.

These mods are easy to do and the details can be easily found online through various forums. Bear in mind that ANY modification WILL void your warranty!

Now onto the important stuff. I've clocked up around 200 hours of usage on this product, and it's still going as strong as the day I unboxed it. The build quality is great and is as to expected with any other Logitech product, and the ergonomics feel comfortable and natural. Anyone planning long sessions using this product should be able to do so without worrying about fatigue or aches and pains. All of the buttons and switches are within easy reach, and it doesn't take long to get used to their respective positions, so you can find them easily even if you happen to be wearing a VR headset.

The Logitech profiling software could really use a HUGE update to make it simpler and easier to use. Again, searching online for tips and advice was the way forward for me, as the software really lacks any sort of help or guidance regarding it's usage.

Ultimately, this product continues to perform above and beyond my initial expectations. It's precise, it's responsive, and I don't think it's possible to run out of fingertip control with the huge array of buttons and switches available. It's completely transformed my flight simulation experience!

Wo soll man nur Anfangen...
Vorab, ich rate vom Kauf ab, man ist im Nachhinein nur enttäuscht.

Positiv:
+ Amazons schneller Versand.
+ Zum Glück einen Monat Rückgaberecht.

Negativ:
- Massenprodukt mit anscheinend fehlender Qualitätskontrolle, denn:
-- Beim Griff ist eine spürbar störende Senkung, anscheinend für eine Schraube mit einer scharfen Kante.
-- Der „SAFE“ Kippschalter, hat einen feinen, aber nervigen Wackelkontakt und blinkt sporadisch rot/grün vor sich her.
-- Die Null-Stellung des Sticks, ist sehr, sehr, sehr sehr wackelig! (siehe Video), weil die Bohrung in der der Null-Stellungsarretierung anscheinend zu groß ist und der Stick somit immer wackelt.
-- Beim zurückziehen des Sticks, harkt dieser immer etwas und beeinträchtigt das Spielgefühl.

- Bei der „Pro“ Variante vom X52, soll angeblich mehr Metallteile verbaut worden sein, optisch villt ja, und der „Fire“ Button und das „Modi“ Drehrad bestehen aus Metall. Jedoch wird die Haptik jederzeit vom Plastik dominiert.
- Die beiden Drehregler beim Schubregler, haben jeweils ca. 140° Spielraum, das ist noch nicht einmal eine halbe Umdrehung!
- Zudem sind die Drehregler und der 4/8 Wege Stick beim Schubregler extrem rutschig und erfordern immer ein Umsetzen der Hand.
- Allgemein hört man bei fast jeder Bewegung Plastik knirschen.
- Der „R LOCK“ Schalter am Stick, zum Sperren einer Achse, hat einen so großen Spielraum, dass man hin und wieder nicht weiß, ob die Achse gesperrt oder nicht gesperrt ist.

Die Logitech-Software…
Ich habe es nicht geschafft, die Software auf meinen 64bit Win10 zu installieren.
Schlussendlich habe ich eine alte Version irgendwo im Internet in einem Forum gefunden, die ich installieren konnte, jedoch ist diese so unübersichtlich, dass man diese als Einsteiger direkt vergessen kann.

Beim Versuch mit den Support von Logitech in Kontakt zu treten, bezüglich Garantieansprüche (auch von anderen Produkten), endet auf der Webseite, bei der Telefonnummern und Adresse aus den USA gelistet sind, eine deutschsprachige Kontaktaufnahme war mir nicht möglich.

Schlusswort:
Es war mein sechstes Logitech Produkt und Logitech hat auch beim sechsten Mal bewiesen, dass die Produkte, bezüglich Preis/Leistung scharmlos überteuert sind, Optisch viel getrickst wird und sehr wenig Wert auf die Verarbeitung Qualität gelegt wird.
Ich persönlich kenne kein Logitech Produkt, welches mich je überzeugen konnte.
Es gibt eigentlich noch mehr zusagen, aber den Nerv dafür habe ich nicht mehr und habe ein paar Videos gemacht, aber leider kann man nur eins hinzufügen.
Bei aller Liebe, mir fällt wirklich nichts positives zu dem Produkt ein, auch nicht wenn ich mich noch so sehr anstrenge…

A game-changer for those using an old stick or control pad

I bought this to replace my Logitech 3D stick as used for 4 years after saving it from a rainswept carboot sale for £4. Considering they still hold their price well it's had a good life but it was time to upgrade with the deadzone becoming a problem, I wanted something on par with my FFB steering wheel used for sim racing so I ended up choosing the x52 pro.

Let's just say since I bought this a few weeks ago I've pretty much neglected all gaming other than MSFS. The precision and customisation made all the difference to my flying and helped with making my landings that much smoother using anything from a Neo to a F35. I have a lot of DLC and it's just simply much better with everything.

The stick feels nice and responsive with lots of buttons in the right places, the springs add a certain grinding feeling to the motion of the stick but it's easy to get used to and seems to either ease with time or just stops being noticeable. Either way it's a fantastic stick with a equally great throttle control which also has a lot of buttons to make sure there's nearly everything covered. Each button or switch can be changed to perform 3 functions depending on the mode selected on the knob on the side of the stick.

The screen on the throttle control is a little redundant for me but I like that it can be made to display radio frequencies and other into in MSFS, it seems to be possible to change things like squark codes but I'm a little lost on how to. I don't like that it appears to flicker when brightness is reduced but I put it down to how the hz of the LEDs being reduced to reduce brightness, the lower you go the more it flickers. Shame as full brightness is fine but too bright in the dark which isn't great when lights off night flying.

Overall I'm happy though mindful of the list of potential issues I may face owning it, most of all I'm concerned by the PS2 ports used, really no idea why they went for that option. Should be fine if not moving the hotas around but if it has to remain portable (I use mine mounted on a lap tray), it might be a problem if the connectors get knocked.

Overall considering the step up from this is double the price I couldn't have expected better, if anything I'm surprised it's such a valuable piece of the jigsaw when flying on PC. I knew it would change things but it's made me from an average virtual pilot to someone who can operate and land like a pro, worth the cost for that alone. The immersion now is a step ahead of what I've ever experienced. Just need to sort out my VR now.....

Alors, j'ai commandé ce modèle, et j'ai reçu le modèle en dessous, le X52. Standard. Retour à l'envoyeur

Donc, je peux difficilement parler de ce HOTAS. (Hands on Throttle And Stick) mais sachez qu'il existe une possibilité pour qu'on vous expédie le modèle en dessous. Soyez donc prudent avant de tout déballer. Le modèle en dessous est argenté/noir avec des diodes bleues.
Le modèle Pro a des lumières vertes (et rouges), et il est tout noir.
J'ai pu le tester chez un collègue, c'est un très bon matériel, avec beaucoup de boutons programmables, et il permet d'avoir les 3 axes Tangage/Roulis/lacet plus l'accélération. Il y a même des axes de rotations sur certains boutons (E et I de mémoire).
Par contre, il peut y avoir des soucis de centrages ou de boutons qui ne répondent pas comme il faut.

Une astuce simple pour limiter ces problèmes est de lancer le panneau de configuration windows du joystick ( Touche Windows+R et taper "Joy.cpl", sélectionner le X52 et choisir "Propriétés". Là, tous les boutons et les axes s'affichent et on voit les erreurs de centrages. Souvent, simplement faire cela recentre le joystick, et le laisser ouvert en arrière plan résout les problèmes pour la session en cours.
