I am not a runner so would not have even looked at running shoes, However I recently visited a podiatrist as for years I have had foot problems which have been getting worse with age ( age 75) to the point I dislike walking anywhere, daily pain, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, ankle pain and feeling my foot giving way, I have spent a fortune on ‘sensible’ shoes, which often fail to come up to expectations, not able to wear heels, pretty ballet pumps or sandals due to not enough support, he recommended new balance 680, and to get them in 8.5, I wear a womens size 7 usually, and have never worn trainers, I bought these and the womens 680 both in the same size 8.5, to see if there was an appreciable difference in width or length of the shoe, there doesn’t seem to be, I wore these for 8 hours, walked to and from the shops, about 2 miles, no pain! Kept them on and pottered about for the rest of the day, wore them for 11 hours, much longer than I usually wear a pair of shoes,
at the moment I feel so happy to be able to walk without pain, but this is only the first few days,
