Waist on my 32" measured 36" so I have to wear them with a belt unfortunately. Amazon won't let me swap size so I'll just live with them. They are meant to fit lower down and have a shorter fly than most other chinos I have.
Fabric is nice and they loose around the seat but tapered towards the bottom. I think the 32" ones fit my perfectly in the legs shame about the waist. Might try the 873 next time.
Bought the greens (very dark green) on offer for £26 and they are worth that but not the RRP of £55-65.
