I mean...let's be clear here, this is a mop & so I feel a little uncomfortable as a grown up, modern woman saying.. THIS MOP IS LIFE CHANGING! Urgh, makes me feel like I need to go confess or something. I should not be excited about a mop. What's more, neither should any of the other women who've seen it in action get excited either! I'm ashamed, I'm sorry, it's embarrassing I know we've come a long way with our rights & all that but OMG what a MOP! I've 3 dogs, 3 children who simply love treading dog gifts into the house & a whole lotta laminate flooring & this spinning, sent-from-heaven (ok, Amazon) mop...well...it changes everything.
It even makes me want to overlook the peculiar picture of a naked woman wielding her mop on the box. Very odd. I've ignored those instructions & do my floor cleaning fully clothed, but each to their own I guess.
Update: It's been a year & I've just purchased a replacement for this little beauty. 'What? After a year? Are you mad woman?' well, yes, yes & uh a little bit. I've two of these & it's the work one that's given up - however, it gets very heavy use in a cafe by a beach & I suspect the friction from the sand has worn down one of the cog's teeth. I've no qualms with getting a new one as I'm not actually sure how we mopped before this? Was it all just a dream of clean floors? However, Vileda, consider letting us just buy the bucket or even the mechanism as that's the only part that needs replacing.

And so my love affair with this mop comes to abrupt end. In the last 8 months or so I've had repeated replacements for the same issue many others have report & I've attached a picture of. I can only image manufacturing standards have been changed or slipped or a very large bad batch is out there. I've just had yet another break after less than two months & this one replaced a replacement which broke the same day it arrived.
I just cannot recommend anyone buy this until Vileda have sorted the problem out. I still love the design & idea but it's too expensive for a mop that might last a couple of months.

- Handle runs length of bucket so easier to carry by your side, unlike a circular bucket
- Handle has a clip to hold the mop upright when pausing cleaning
- Pouring spout for emptying
- Spin dry system works well and helps prevent over-wetting
- Mop head is removable for cleaning and drying
- Mixture of microfibers, lengths etc. means effective cleaning
- The mop has an aluminium, 3 section extendable pole, easy to store when not in use
The bucket and mop head is made from polypropylene and is of typical feeling quality. Does not strike me as overly durable. For the money it seems fine in that sense.
This mop is made in the CZECH REPUBLIC. Very nice to see that it is not made in China, like so many things nowadays.
For £27 I think it is very good. I use it to clean my bathtub, tiled walls etc. as well as hard floors. Does a good job. Making sure the mop is well spun helps drying times and floors do not have streaks.
Recommended.
UPDATE - After just a few uses the bucket has cracked at the pouring spout end. The main body of the bucket is pretty thin and flexible. The bucket needs to be stronger. It needs to have ribs to reinforce it. The spin mechanism seems fine but not the main bucket. One would have to be very careful with this.
Bear in mind most reviews are left soon after purchase and so do not reflect longer term durability. If you are very careful this may last, but as shown in the picture could be easily broken.
