you get what you pay for: a basic made in china chair with hard plastic arms

I don't know why I expected any different when I clicked "Add to Cart." Wishful thinking I guess.

The chair is very basic, which is totally fine if that's what you're looking for. Everything but the arms push fit together for assembly. Took about 8 minutes from taking it out of the box to sitting in it (philips head screwdriver required for the arms). The bottom & back pads are fine, but incredibly plain (which you already know from the pictures). That's fine though, right? It's only $130.

The arm rests are hard plastic, and at least for me way too low to be any use unless you want to sit there like a tyrannosaurus rex with your arms dangling in front of you at an awkward level.

Previous reviewers who wrote about using this chair at their standing desk must be of rather short stature. I'm 5'11" and the chair at its highest lands about 1.5" too short to put me at a good level with my desk (sorry I don't know the exact height my desk is at). It's a backup for when I'm too lazy to stand though, so I'll probably just keep it and use it as a deterrent for sitting.

The manufacturer's packaging was poor. The "stem" of the chair back was poking out of a large hole in the box side, and the "lift" lever was broken almost in half exposing sharp edges. If work hadn't paid for it and I didn't need it for next week I'd send it back.

Maybe I'm spoiled with the chairs at work, but in hindsight I would spend some extra cash and get a better chair. If you're going to be spending extended amounts of time in your drafting chair, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.

Great Item, Terrible Service

I want to start by saying the chair met all my expectations and I would highly advise it to others. Having said that, the service I received from Amazon was more like a three stooges movie.

I ordered this item with my Amazon Prime account on a Friday and was notified it would be delivered by the following Tuesday. On Tuesday, their website said it was out for delivery and could be as late as 8:00pm delivery. This was being delivered to my business and we close at 5:30 pm but stuck around until 8:00 pm. By the following Friday it still had not arrived and so I contact Amazon and they said it was out for delivery then said it must be lost and they would send a second out right away to be delivered, you guessed it, the following Tuesday. It did not arrive Tuesday but showed up Wednesday, 13 days after I ordered with Primes two day guaranteed delivery. At the end of the week I received an email from Amazon stating I was in luck as the chair was going to be delivered even sooner then initially stated (12 days previous). Five days later, the original chair showed up and was totally trashed.

Live and learn, Prime is a joke, their service was a joke, and being I have been in retail sales for 40 years, I can say their system is a joke as well as it has no checks and balances. Really disappointing and cost me 2 1/2 extra hours wages for a number of days waiting until 8:00 pm for a delivery that never came.

Comfortable but poorly constructed

I would have given this chair a 4- or 5-star rating based on comfort, if it weren't for the poor build quality. While it lasted, this chair was very comfortable and relieved the lower back pain I had been experiencing from sitting for 6-10 hours a day at work. The 'leatherplus' upholstery is a fine material for the cost of this chair, and I believe it would have held up for longer than other materials I've owned before.

Mine lasted about 5 months before I noticed the seat felt loose. Upon inspection, the welds holding the center post to the main frame of the chair had broken. I'm no welder, but have spent enough time in industrial environments to know that the quality of this welding job is sloppy and unreliable. My chair is unusable at this point, so I must either find someone to repair this weld or buy another chair.

Heed the advice of other reviewers. This item is indeed extremely poorly packaged. Mine arrived busted into pieces. The paddles that allow for tilt and hight adjustment were busted off. The interface between the seat and backrest was busted. One of the six legs was sticking through the box when it arrived.

This is not an Amazon or UPS issue. The manufacturer basically just threw it in a box. Sadly, I don't have time to send it back.

That being said, the chair would not be bad if it arrived intact. Its exactly what you would expect for ~$120. Its rather comfortable and easy to assemble.

Packaging was horrible. Just thrown into a box. Parts fell out the bottom and box delivered upside down and open. Next time parts were sticking out of the box. Same thing parts just thrown into the box. Sent back a second time. Next time a part was sticking out of the box but opened the box anyway same thing parts just thrown into the box. Did put it together. Chair is OK but the foot rest is to small. Can hardly get my foot to stay on the bar. Should be much larger. It is pretty comfortable. Decided to keep the chair.

Overpriced, very flimsy

I bought this chair a few months ago and was so excited about it. I got it put it together before the end of the first day the circular piece fell off. I am not even sure how it was attached in the first place because it was so flimsy. I decided to try gluing it back together instead of dealing with the hassle of mailing it back. This worked fine. Today not even 6 months later, the arm on the chair just broke completely off. This purchase was very disappointing.

Seat cushion is tilted and back rest pops loudly

The seat cushion has more padding on one side than the other so I'm never sitting on an even surface. Aside from the annoyance, the lopsided cushion is bad for the back and posture. After a couple days of light use the chairs pops loudly every time I lean back against it. I'd recommend spending a little more money for higher quality.

Not super happy with this chair

The seat seems to be too small for me. I'm 6' tall so I'm not huge. And I'm not overweight either. Just seems to have a small seat. Today, after using this chair for a little less than 2 months the foot rest broke off. I just checked Amazon's return policy and I'm already outside the window. The materials used for the seat and seat back are comfortable and feel like good quality.

I'm definitely NOT happy about the foot rest though. Since my feet are on it most of the time I'm using the chair.

chair was delivered today 11-15-2017.The box was in very bad shape.My thought was to take pictures.but ups is known for trashing box so what the heck. Got the chair together ,put it on the floor .snaped one of the arms for the leg off leaving fourand a half legs.Anyway chair is useless.stay away from these chairs

The chair initially fulfilled all my expectations, and I was quite pleased with it. However, within six months, the seat mounting bracket broke, leaving the seat to wobble laterally on the post. I weigh 215 pounds and was careful in my treatment of the chair. I feel it should have lasted longer than six months. I'm replacing it with a more expensive and (presumably) more durable model.
