In summary: the build quality is excellent and the specs impressive, but the sound is not well balanced or pronounced and I had to return these.
Fit: these are very deep speakers. You may need spacers so they don't hit your window.
Quality: the rubber feels durable, the magnet is well sized, and the overall look is quality.
Sound: this is where the praise ends. I've installed aftermarket speakers in a dozen cars, used half a dozen brands, and this Boss model did not impress. I would describe the sound as muffled and unpronounced. The highs don't pierce despite the extra tweeter, the bass barely rumbled rather it flubbered. My car has an aftermarket head rated for 25 RMS / 50 peak - this wasn't tested with factory radio.
With the Boss on the left side, and the Pioneer TS-F1634R installed on the right, I could barely hear the Boss while the Pioneer punched through (which is also a budget speaker, and is only 2-way). Listening to each speaker one at a time, the difference was night and day and the Boss was truly disappointing. They sounded comparable to the factory speakers I replaced a week ago - muffled and dull.
I had high hopes given the 4-way design, but I'll be sticking with the 2-way Pioneers because of how much better they sounded.
Sound quality is not the best. Plastic speaker grill covers big area of the speaker, so I removed them. It maybe helps a little, but still, I like Blaupunkt speakers more. Not bad speakers, but my opinion is that these are not the best.
