Both my elite controller and my elite series two have separation issues on the rubber grips. I decided to try a cover before giving up and replacing the already plenty expensive controller, and these work great. I just put them on over the old rubber, and they feel good in my hands. They don't interfere with the paddles on the underside of the controller, and with just a little care in replacing it in the cradle, it still charges fine.

Absolutely perfect feels amazing in hand doesnt interfere with the back paddles or anything charging dock fits into the controller perfect whilst put on charge the rubber grips feel beautiful and it really feels as if u just cant drop this when holding it its a must buy in my opinion over the moon with this purchase thanks Amazon😊

Makes the controller feel bulkier, which is to be expected I guess given that it is effectively a case. Easy enough to put on the controller although it does interfere with one of the paddles at the back. Odd that it interferes with only the one. Might have to take a pair of scissors to it to remedy the problem. The thumbstick covers feel like hard plastic, not the grippy rubber of the originals so probably won't use those.

This is actually a fantastic skin for the Elite 2 controller, and I actually don't have a single complaint for it.

I noticed a strange problem with the default Elite 2 grips, and that is that it makes my hands sweat. Not profusely, but they are clammy after a few hours. I wasn't sure if this was the material of the default rubber grips, or if there is some heat generated from the battery and rumble motors. At this point I'm thinking it's a combination of all of the above. I have no history of sweaty palms, and no other controller seems to do this for me. As a result, I bought this skin with the hope of combating this problem.

Cooler - These actually make a big difference. The nub texture does gives you a lot more air flow. While it didn't completely eliminate the controller getting a bit warm after a few hours, it made a bigger difference than I was hoping for.

Grip - The skin texture is fantastic and does give you quite a bit more grip if you're having clammy hands with the default grips. I think they really nailed it with the nubby texture; it's very comfortable.

Functionality - Some people have complained that it interferes with the paddles, but I had no issues at all with any of the paddles. I didn't have to cut anything.

Fit - The fit was perfect with no gaps, pockets, or looseness. I recommend removing the thumb sticks first before stretching this over the controller. I don't notice any shifting around while playing.

Please bear with me here, I am coming to a point regarding these skins... (See TLDR below to skip.) In their infinite wisdom, as MS manufactured more of their Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers over time they've left the product lines with completely different external finishes. (As far as the actual surface, feel or grip goes that is, obviously they still all look identical.) I purchased two Elite 2 controllers very early after their initial release that just felt great & ultimately were absolutely perfect to use in every conceivable way. (I didn't require any skins etc.) Quality control seemed well above par earlier on & I was extremely happy with them indeed. (One I eventually broke myself, entirely my fault. The second, the right side paddles that see the most use for me (I reverse A/B & X /Y) eventually became so loose, dangled & waggled around underneath so badly that I just couldn't take it anymore. (Although, the controller had seen A LOT of action before that eventually happened.) Said second controller still works well enough but sometimes the right hand paddles do now occasionally misfire (so to speak), because of the excessive lateral movement they eventually developed.)

The third replacement controller that arrived, however, (after there had been the extended shortages etc.) just wasn't of the same quality at all. It constantly felt either ridiculously sticky when warm or literally slimy when cooler. Despite thoroughly washing my hands before I even pick up a controller, or cleaning them both before & after every use with mild isopropyl wipes, mild detergent wipes, and/or just some kitchen roll lightly moistened with plain water. The third controller just felt absolutely horrible & nothing I tried could alter this awful cycle between sticky & slimy. (And believe me, I tried all of the usual tricks to combat this problem which I've only experienced with that one controller. Eventually I sourced another Elite 2 (after an additional two first had to be returned brand new due to inoperable buttons/grinding sticks right out of the box. (MS's quality control really has TANKED with more recent controllers or these skins often may not even be necessary at all.)

TLDR;
Ergo, I tried one of these skins which seemed a great idea on the surface, (pun intended). It worked as intended in that the silicone cover once again gave the controller a nice smooth & comfortable feel even when very warm from use & direct heat transfer. More importantly, no more yucky sticky/slimy feeling. However, the silicone skin is significantly thicker than it looks in the available product pics/photos. It COMPLETELY changes the dimensions, size & feel of the controller making it feel significantly larger in your hands in the process. In turn, that obviously then throws off the feel & control of everything else from the sticks to all available buttons/paddles. (Even after giving it several consecutive days attempting to readjust to the enlarged dimensions & how the skin affected everything else I just couldn't get on with it. The skin ultimately ended up in the bin.) The thickness of this skin also directly interfered with the lowest X/Y (as default) paddles, often stopping a proper contact with the micro-switches underneath. (I've previously used silicone skins on various devices from other controllers to e-cigs that were approximately half as thick as these skins that were more than sufficient for strength, overall fit, & that lasted well too. I don't quite understand why they've made these skins as thick as they have as it's immediately apparent the moment you fit one to a controller & then try to use it.)

The silicone itself actually feels fine & the skin certainly stopped the sticky/slimy problem. However, it essentially introduced a whole new set of problems that actually ended up being worse unfortunately. They're nice & cool, & the added grips help too but they're simply too thick. (Some may actually benefit from this obviously, such as those with larger than average hands, so it is undoubtedly subjective. However, if you already feel that the Elite Series 2 is literally a perfect fit for your hands as it is, I'd advise not bothering with one of these skins as it will ultimately completely change that feel, the actual controller size/dimensions, & in turn how that then throws off how the sticks or buttons feel, & function too.

I'd rate it as one of those "MARMITE" type products! You're either going to absolutely love it or hate it, which obviously doesn't leave you with very much middle ground at all. Good concept but too thick IMHO!! They're well made & tough, but be aware that the downsides could end up outweighing the potential upsides you may be looking for in the first place. To be fair I'd rate at 3/5 in general, but just be aware of these issues raised above if you don't exactly have money to burn!!
