Et la version française ????

Je suis toujours impressionné par la qualité des documentaires de la BBC et en particulier de Sir Attenborough ; mais toujours aussi déçu de ne pas avoir une version française, ne serait-ce qu'en sous titre.
J'achète quand même ces docs en version anglaise car j'ai un niveau moyen en anglais et ça aide.D'autant plus que les images sont sublimes et en 4k ,je ne vous en parle même pas.
Je suis conscient que ce genre de film attire qu'une minorité de spectateurs et que les distributeurs ne vont pas investir dans une traduction française pour une poignée de bluray vendus.
C'est bien dommage, car ces même docs passent à la TV dans notre langue ( Merci Arte et France 5).Donc c'est la preuve qu'il y a un public pour ces émissions.

Hi, this is another example of the BBC working on all cylinders as normal whilst also acknowledging the increasing need for environmental protection as we move through these troubled times. In this series the team visits environmentally significant parts of the world they all play a key role in nature's balance plus also the variety of plant and animal species which reside there and take on nature's challenges. You are witness to volcanic areas as well as rocky terrain, grasslands, underwater etc. This is a beautifully rendered TV series. A worthwhile addition to your collection.

Stunning photography throughout of wildlife filmed in depth. Each programme is about the particular contributions made by each of the following (Volcanoes, weather, the sun and the oceans) that make this a perfect environment for the proliferation of many lifeforms. The last programme deals with the new force that is affecting this perfect planet, humans. It is not the usual casual warning brought in during other wildlife series but this is almost a given as a threat that if we don't do anything or enough about climate change and protecting the oceans then serious consequences will occur in the future that we will be blamed for by future generations. This message was not only strongly and forcefully given by Sir David Attenborough but also by three other environmentalists This is a series that deserves repeated viewings for the stunning filming together with very interesting dialogue but also for the strong message for us all about the effect that we are having on our perfect planet

There is a faulty coding or bad authorization on UHD disc 1, in Chapter 7. Playback freezes, BD-player ( Sony UBP-X800M2 ) growls and struggles and it cannot smoothly proceed any further with playing from a certain point of time. Although product was replaced by Amazon, but the fault was the same on the new disc, rather it was even worse. I think master disc may not have been tested properly enough by the publisher or by the BBC. This critical chapter can only be played without error on BD disc 1, but not on UHD. The freezing point where BD-palyer always stops, is visible on the attached picture. UHD disc 1 in this product is scrap, it should be remanufactured and then replaced and resent to all customers for free upon request.

The picture Quality is stunning, The animals look so lifelike. The scenery is awesome, the 4 K ultra HD is fabulous, even my mother loves it. if you like wildlife great for your collection, only cliche there are only 5 episodes, but they give you the blue ray versions, as well, probably better to wait for the prise to drop a bit.

Having an OLED tv and oppo 205 player, watching those unique bbc 4k documentaries is a must! Just sit back and after a while you are traveling all over the world. Picture and sound are perfect, comments as good as it gets, I only wish they lasted 3 hours each episode!!!

The 4K image is clear and sound quality is better than many blue ray documentaries I own and produced by BBC. It’s definitely not as exciting as break through titles, such as Planet Earth, Life, or Dynasty. Some propaganda materials went in there as well. Not extremely annoying as it’s just what entertainment or news industry do right now. Just skip it. I don’t regret buying it as it’s still affordable.

Have been a fan of D. Attenborough's work for some time. However sadly his diction has become poor in some ways. He is no whistling his 's' sounds, as does happen with some of out older geneation.

The tradgedy is that his whistled diction is far in excess louder than his normal diction. At times it was unbearable and hard ro understand him. It means you have two options. Either turn down the volume so the whistling is at normal speech volume, which means all other parts of words are too quiet. Or leave it at a volume where normal words are at normal volume, and suffer bad speech.

I mean no disrespect to D. Attenborough, or any of the older gernation who are such afflicted. That is life. However putting this type of narration on content for sale, is not acceptable.

About half the content is affected as such, while at other times narrations better, seems while not perfect. It suggests that had D. Attenborough concentrated more, the end result could have been better.

I can almost hear the clanging of pitch-forks, wanting my blood. However this has to be said. It is time for Mr Attenborough to retire, or do a better job. While I have complete empathy for Mr Attenborough's age, that is no excuse to make paid content very difficult to watch.

This is inexcusable from the BBC. It is noted that the BBC are trotting out D. Attenborough content more often recently. It will be in response to their failure in general. However bringing a beloved ecologist and narrator like D. Attenborough, and letting him sadly bring down content is pathetic. They should have been on top of it, and asked for fresh takes of narration. Maybe if they were not so bad in the first place, they would not have felt the need to bring in D. Attenborough eh? There are plenty of other good passionate narators who could have done this.

Yes it's sad and we all more D. Attenborough, but maybe ...
