The clear plastic does cloud up over time. Adhesion is good, it doesn't come off in the eighth circle of hell that is my purse. It only lost grip when I stuck it on where a cheapo pop socket had broken off, leaving paper behind. Of course paper residue will inhibit current and future sticking, can't fault it for that.
I've tried off brands and Dollar Tree pop sockets, and they break, fall off, and don't do the job. Which is why the brand name is worth the money: it sticks out. It has saved me a hundred dives under the couch. You can play with it and it won't break.
I can’t go without having a pop socket on my phone. It helps me with fidgeting & im constantly messing around with it. I also use it a lot as a stand for my phone to watch videos either when I’m eating (I live alone and it feels weird to eat by myself probs another adhd thing I always have to be doing something), on a plane, or even when I’m doing my makeup or hair in the morning. Only the actual pop socket brand lasts as far as adhesion & feels sturdy. It also isn’t super stiff when you pull it up like the off brand ones are. I really like the clear one too because it goes with a lot of different phone cases :)
I started using these pop sockets and love them! I thought they looked odd, but my son convinced me to try it. It was surprisingly handy and really helped my very painful hands. SInce you do not live in fear of dropping your bazillion dollar phone, it makes life easier. You can also use it as a stand to look at the phone without holding it. These are reusable and I have taken mine off a number of times and put it on other cases. They are very hard to get off your case, but use a credit card or dental floss or something to slowly pry it off. Then rinse the back of the pop socket with water for 10 seconds or so, let it dry. I have used this same one several times now. This last time I thought there is no way...but it stuck well!!! My only complaint is the price...which seems like for $10 you should get several instead of just one.
This Pop-Socket is the best looking one I’ve seen yet. It’s sleek and the smokey black color is nice. Other than that, it’s just like every other Pop-Socket. All of my phone cases I’ve used thus far are plastic, so I never have problems applying any Pop-Socket. Lastly, this Pop-Socket doesn’t easily get scratched or show nasty scratch marks.
