the only thing i would say is good with this headset is the battery time.
the headset does its job but nothing more than that.
the microphone is super bad, my friends complain all the time that they having trouble hearing me on Discord even after they have increased the volume of me.

the headset will wear out fast over time.
gave it 3 stars because of the insane battery time witch is true.

Bättre än cloud flight på nästan varje sätt

Innan jag köpte dem här så hade jag ett par hyperx cloud flight, jämfört med dem så har dem här bättre ljud, bättre byggkvalitet, bättre mikrofon, mycket bättre batteritid och bättre kontroller (man trycker inte längre på vänster hörlur för att muta micen utan man trycker på en knapp).

Den ända nackdelen är att det blir en märkbar delay på ungefär en halv sekund när man sätter på surround sound genom deras program.

Petit commentaire suite à l'essai de ce casque dont pas beaucoup de Youtubeurs en parlent. Je l'ai acheté pour remplacer mon RAZER TIAMAT 7.1 car il était abimé à plusieurs endroit (7 ans de service mais les housses d'oreille et le plastique sur le casque ont très mal vieillies au fil des années malgré le soin que j'apporte à mes affaire).
Bref ! J'ai acheté ce casque suite à la déception de l'acquisition de mon ASTRO A50 (qualité sonore médiocre car trop de basses et pas assez d'aiguës, spatialisation inexistante et identification gauche droite impossible, malgré l'installation de Dolby Access).
Après 1 mois à essayer de rendre cet ASTRO correcte au niveau sonore, j'abandonne et commande un HYPER X CLOUD ALPHA Wireless (même gamme de prix). Et là c'est le jour et la nuit. On branche la clé USB, le casque fonctionne immédiatement et le son est de bonne qualité (voir très bonne à mon goût en face des deux autres casques que j'ai eu entre les mains).
Du coup, retour immédiat du casque ASTRO.
Je reprocherais à cet HYPER X Cloud Alpha c'est la taille de ces oreillettes. Un peu trop petites pour les grandes oreilles. Je rentre mais oreille dedans avec ma seconde main afin qu'elles ne se retrouvent pas coincées entre le casque et mon crâne. Car à l'usage cela ne fait pas mal mais lorsque l'on retire le casque, ça pique un peu sur les extrémités des oreilles. Sinon la qualité sonore est au rendez-vous, toutes les fréquences sont claires et audibles, même à bas bruit => ce que j'apprécie beaucoup car je n'aime écouter fort les musiques où les jeux (je suis entre 06 et 18 unités sonore sur le casque). La commande sonore du casque est jumelé avec les commandes sonores de Windows, et du clavier. Cela est très pratique. La spatialisation droite/gauche est identifiable en FPS sans problème. Le DTS X est un petit plus pour la spatialisation virtuelle. Après il est difficile d'identifier le son sur le plan de la verticalité je trouve mais c'est peut-être le temps de s'habituer...
Le casque réduit bien le bruit. je n'entend pas arriver les personnes dans la pièce par exemple et je dois retirer le casque pour avoir une conversation. Pour vous donner une idée.
Pour l'autonomie HYPER X à vraiment fait fort là. Je n'ai pas en atteint les 300 heures de test sur le casque mais facilement plus de 50 heures en 15 jours. Et le casque vient d'atteindre les 70 %, donc laisser le casque branché une fois tous les deux mois n'est pas une contrainte de mon point de vue. Pour les info de niveau de batterie, cela se passe à l'allumage du casque. Une voie indique le seuil actuel de la batterie par pallier de 10% (90%-80%-70%...), sinon il suffit d'appuyer une fois sur le bouton on/off pour faire parler la voie off du casque.
Pour le micro, il fait le travail mais n'est pas n'ont plus exceptionnel. Je l'ai utilisé au départ mais je suis vite passé sur un micro sur le bureau => car avoir le micro constamment dessus ou bien le retirer puis le remettre en fonction des jeux était galère au risque que la prise jack s'abîme dans le temps. En plus, avoir un micro indépendant, réduit la consommation de la batterie.

I just purchased the HyperX Cloud Alpha wireless headset from black Friday sale. I feel I need to leave a detailed review so people can get a better understanding on these headset.

Be aware! Amazon made a mistake in "details" on the product, states 2 years licence only for the DTS, this is false, it is lifetime (contacted HyperX to confirm).

Due to being visually impaired, when I first used the headset I struggled defining the difference between the left and right earcup, I would recommend braille or another way to determine the difference.

Battery
The main selling point of the Cloud Alpha Wireless is its killer battery life with 300 hours on a single charge. While using the headset it lasted me two days without having to re-charge the battery, even when playing games all day.

Comfort, design, and build quality
While superb battery life alone doesn't make a great headset, and those using headset during a long gaming session will agree that comfort might be even more important. Over the past years I've tested many headphones that felt great at first then after a few hours of use, the discomfort beings. These headset is so comfortable but not the lightest on the market, however, you can get cooling gel earpad options.

I would recommend purchasing extra pads with cooling-gel, this is to make the headset more comfortable if you don't like breathable leather or sweat a lot.

Design-wise, is exactly, the same feel to the wired version, although it's slightly larger, but, the new wireless model doesn't fold and the earcups cannot be turned.

The build quality of the headset is what users can expect from HyperX cloud series, solid build headset with durable and reliable materials, with easy to adjust fitting for your liking.

Sound performance
Majority of HyperX headsets, sound quality is pretty great, offering a varied soundscape with plenty of separation, especially when used in games. Unfortunately again, the bass appears to be slightly boosted sometimes, but the lowers don't drown out the less distant sounds. Sound isolation is excellent as expected on the product.

Sound customization options through the HyperX NGenuity software are decent enough, including EQ presents and a DTS Spatial sound feature, be WARNED this doesn't carry over for PlayStation players and compared to the software of some other brands.

The only issue I occurred while using these headsets is the DTS sometimes not working and the headset cutting out every time I launch a new game or alt-tab out of the game, however, this could be down to Call Of Duty Warzone.

Closing thoughts
I would recommend this headset to gamers out there, especially if want a good immersion into the games.

+ Good for PC and Playstation gamers

CONs:
- Flip-to-mute is not a feature; mute button is hard to find and it's easy to forget if you are muted or not
- Mic LED is dim and hard to see
- Mic volume seems underpowered
- NGenuity software is mostly awful
- EQ doesn't come with preset options, no way to save or load EQ settings
- Won't work over USB when charging
- No Bluetooth or 3.5mm for connecting, uses a 2.4Ghz receiver which will take up a USB port
- Somewhat overpriced given the lack of features other headsets provide
- No Xbox compatability
- Rather heavy (although not uncomfortably so)

Summary:
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless only comes in one color at the time of this review, but it is a solid black with red accents. It is a very visually appealing headset, but the real star of this show is the battery life. At 300+ hours of use, there's almost no other gaming headset in the ballpark of comparison. As a result, this has become my de facto workhorse for communications at the office. I could use these at the office every day for over a month before needing to charge it. If you find yourself not wanting to charge yet another device, but still want a wireless headset, this one is for you.

The earpads are comfortable and circumaural (surround your ear instead of sitting on your ear) with a nice plush feel. However, I imagine the material will eventually start aging and flaking off. I've seen this occur with prior headphones with similar earpads. However, I believe HyperX has made them replaceable, so if they do start showing their age, you can purchase replacements.

Some of the issues I have are primarily with the software. The drivers are cumbersome to install, requiring a reboot of your system. And even after that, the DTS:X and EQ don't seem to function. This sort of makes the entire NGenuity software pointless to use. NOTE: I do believe that in order to use the EQ, you must disable any Windows "spatial sound" software like Dolby Atmos or Windows Sonic for Headphones. That is also the case for my Corsair headset, so I would reckon the same issue affects these.

One feature missing is the flip-to-mute that other headsets have. It's a great feature that is sorely missed when you don't have it. The mute button is sometimes hard to find by feel, and the LED is hard to see to know whether or not you are muted. A flipped up microphone is a much easier solution.

However, the microphone is flexible and detachable, both excellent inclusions here. The audio seems to be very clear to listeners, and the audio from the cans is a neutral sound. You won't get heavy bass from these (maybe if the EQ worked?) but I didn't expect that anyway. One of the main issues seems to be that the mic is a bit underpowered. I'm not sure I would recommend these for podcasts, but certainly fine for Zoom calls and game chat.

Unlike my Corsair headset, you cannot use these over the provided USB charging cable. Not entirely a big issue given the long battery life, but it is worth noting. You also cannot use these to connect to your phone or to a second device, which is a little preposterous given that even basic earbuds can do these things.

Overall, I like a lot of what this headset offers. It's not flashy, it's got a professional look, and the battery life is phenomenal. I think HyperX needs to work on their software to improve its functionality, and there are features on other headsets that this one lacks. But I'm still impressed enough to give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Obtenu en réduction, le casque est très confortable tout comme les autres casques HyperX.

Le son est bon, j'entends par exemple très bien les bruits de pas avec, l'isolation est également très correcte.

La batterie tient très longtemps, je n'ai eu à le charger qu'une fois depuis que je le possède (décembre 2022)

La partie logicielle par contre est à revoir, je dois rebrancher et débrancher le dongle à chaque fois pour pouvoir régler les paramètres de ce dernier (le casque fonctionne, mais impossible de faire des réglages sans rebrancher le dongle), j'espère qu'une mise a jour réglera ce souci.

En résumé je recommande ce casque lorsqu'il est en réduction (150€ pour ma part) pour sa qualité et son autonomie monstrueuse. En espérant qu'ils fassent des efforts sur le logiciel.

Like most people, when I read 300 hours of battery life, I thought there's no way that's possible. An order of magnitude more battery life compared to any other wireless headset? No shot.
After owning these for 3 months, using them daily, and only having to charging them once (when they hit 10%, still at 30% on this charge), I can in confirm: this headset is powered by some sort of black magic.
HyperX's engineers have done some really amazing work, and I have nothing but praise and respect for them.

Battery life is excellent, sound quality is great, and the headset is light and comfortable.

The only area I can see them improving is the microphone.
The microphone quality is only just passable, and I'm not a fan of the fixed, flexible microphone arm or large foam pop-filter. Having the arm always extended means it's always in the way when not worn, making it hard to pass under my monitor to put away and the pop filter is very noticeable in my peripheral vision.
With the leaps in voice processing technology, I would love to see HyperX move to nearfield microphones built into the earcups for future iterations. Hell, I'll even install your software to keep the processing off-device in the interest of battery life.

HyperX, you've got a customer for life. Unfortunately, because of your excellent engineering, I don't see myself buying a new headset for a at least decade due to how rarely the battery in mine cycles.
Keep up the great work.

Overall, I'm really enjoying these headphones. They sound pretty nice (though I'm not exactly an audiophile), the detachable mic is nice to have, and the battery life is really long. The feel of these headphones is quality, and going from a wired headset to this wireless one is really nice.

That said, I have some minor gripes with this headset. Sometimes when I don't have any audio playing on my PC and I press play on a YouTube video or Spotify, I'll get a small bit of static. It's never extremely loud or anything, but it's kind of jarring. I'm not sure if this is an issue everyone would have or if it's unique to my PC setup or what.

Powering the headset on just takes too long in my opinion. You have to hold the power button for about 6 seconds and then listen to the voice say "Power on. Battery level is X%" before you can hear anything. I wish the voice just said my battery level percentage and let me listen to whatever I planned on listening to. It's a small issue, but it's a little annoying to me. I wish this headset just had an on/off switch as well instead of a button you need to hold. Edit: I just learned you can disable the voices in the software but it replaces the voice with a beep sound.

Despite those 2 issues, I still think this is a great headset and you should definitely give it a shot if you're looking for a wireless gaming headset. Pro tip: If you buy these headphones and your ears get sweaty from the pleather pads, swap them out for some velour pads. I did that and it changed the sound profile, but my ears don't get sweaty anymore from wearing them.
